As many of you  already know, we have been in the planning stages of our restaurant company for some time now. After much hard work and research, we have finally finished our business plan and are ready to take the next step. We are beginning to raise money to get our first concept, Biga, off the ground. Together we (Michael, Sabato  and Nicole, a chef, sommelier and nutritional scientist, respectively) have decided to take a grass roots  approach and start by asking our friends and family as well as anyone you may know. We are asking everyone who believes in us for $1,000 (a GRAND....get it? the GRAND experiment.).  Of course we would graciously accept less and gladly accept more!
    In return for  your generosity, you have our word that we will repay everyone's thousand before taking a profit for ourselves. As a show of our appreciation anyone who donates a GRAND  will also receive a fifteen percent discount on all food and alcohol for the life of the restaurant. For an investment of 100 dollars or more you will recieve a t-shirt, that we hope you will wear, helping us spread the word and officially making you a part of the Biga family.  Anyone who invests in us will be given the first opportunity to invest in our future concepts as we grow our company (and make some real money!!). biga
a place for people who love food

biga, the Italian word for starter is meant to be our introduction to the Los Angeles market. With the lowest start up cost of any of our full service restaurant concepts, biga is focused on market driven ingredients, our love for food, cooking and wine and an intimate passion for bringing friends and family together. With a focused, concise, daily changing menu and a kitchen centered in the dining room, biga will create a homey environment where guest will feel as if they are part of the biga family. a small 50 seat room with exposed brick walls, a communal table and an eight stool wine and food bar positioned around the open-home style kitchen will encourage guests to share and experiment. biga will also offer wines at retail allowing guests to hand pick their bottles or take a few bottles away should they particularly enjoy one with their meal. biga strips away all pretension and allows our love for food, wine and service to be the focus. As our brand recognition grows, we plan to open other concepts in similar markets as many of the are globally unanswered market niches. We intend to compete on a national level with the major high end  restaurant companies such as Myriad, Let Us Entertain You and Union Square Hospitality, eventually becoming a group of concepts that other will attempt to duplicate
